Policies

Placing An Order
It is our top priority to provide an exceptional on-line shopping experience! We offer the following methods of payment for your convenience:  Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Paypal, and Google Check-out. If you prefer to pay by check or money order, you must place your order over the phone by calling during regular business hours: M - F, 10am – 6pm Mountain time. Please be aware that this will increase the processing time required for your order.Note for International orders:  Your credit card will be billed in US dollars and your credit card company will bill you with your home currency at the current exchange rate.We strive to have all orders processed and shipped out the same or next business day after an order is placed. However, at times, this will take a little longer.Please allow 1–2 business days to process your order.

Product Availability
Keeping every item listed on our website in stock at all times is one of our highest priorities.  However, due to high demand for some items and varied availability from manufacturers, occasionally an item will need to be backordered.  Rest assured, we will actively take steps to fill your backorders as soon as possible, usually within 5–7 business days.  In the unusual circumstance that filling backorders for your order will take longer than 7 business days; available items in your order will ship and when backordered items have been filled, they will be shipped to you immediately, at our expense.

Backordered/Discontinued Items
Occasionally, items listed on our website will become out-of-stock and have to be back-ordered.  If this situation occurs with your order, available items will be shipped after your order has been processed. At the time of shipment, you will also receive e-mail notification that some items in your order are currently out-of-stock and have been back-ordered.  Any back-ordered items will be shipped to you, at our expense, immediately upon arrival. If an item remains out-of-stock for 30 days or we discover that the item has been discontinued by the manufacturer, you will receive an immediate refund followed by an e-mail outlining credits made to your account.  If you wish to wait for a back-ordered item longer than 30 days, please call during regular business hours, M – F from 10am – 6pm Mountain time to let us know your wishes. 

Privacy Policy
Everyone has some concern about security on the internet, and if we weren’t absolutely positive that your order can be handled safely, we wouldn’t provide this service.We use SSL to encrypt our web pages.  SSL is the leading standard for encrypting and transmitting sensitive data over the web.  When you see “https” rather than “http” in your browser’s address window, you are exchanging encrypted data with our server.

Add/Change/Delete Item On Your Order
Orders can be changed any time prior to completion of order processing.  Keep in mind, many orders are processed and shipped on the same day the order was placed.  If you need to change an order after submitting it on the website, please call the shop during business hours, Monday – Friday from 10am – 6pm Mountain time and we will make every effort to help you.  If your order has already been processed, we will be unable to cancel it or change it.  Do not e-mail order changes because it is unlikely we would be able to make your changes in time.

Returns and Exchanges
We want you to be completely satisfied with your order. If for any reason you need to return or exchange an item in your order, please follow the simple procedures outlined below.

If we made a mistake (shipped incorrect item or item was not as described)

  • Contact the shop to discuss the issue.  We do not require that you fill out a form, but we would like to discuss with you personally how the issue can best be resolved. 
  • If the best solution involves returning the item back to the shop, we will issue a call tag for the item to be picked up if it shipped by UPS.  If your item was shipped via USPS, we will refund reasonable shipping expenses up to the original shipping expense that you incur in shipping the item/s back.  Simply enclose a receipt for the shipping amount in the box with the item/s you are returning.
  • If the best solution involves an exchange, we will cover shipping expenses both ways to get the correct item back to you. 
  • Refunds will be issued upon receipt of items by Bike Parts Express.  Please be aware that credit card refunds can take up to one month to appear on your statement.  PayPal refunds generally appear within one week.
  • Any returned items must be unused and in brand-new condition with original packaging completely intact.

If you made a mistake (ordered incorrect item, don’t like color, item is no longer needed, etc)

  • Call the shop to discuss the issue.
  • If you choose to return or exchange the item/s in question, you may choose the carrier of your choice to return the item.  We recommend that you use a carrier that offers tracking and insurance, as we cannot be responsible for items that are lost when being shipped back to us.  Return shipping charges will be your responsibility.
  • Any returned items must be unused and in brand-new condition with original packaging completely intact. 
  • Ship item/s in a separate container with adequate packing material to prevent damage during shipment.  Do not put a shipping label on the product box.
  • Refunds: Upon receipt of the returned item/s by Bike Parts Express, a credit will be issued to the credit card or paypal account used to place the original order minus a 10% restocking fee for regular orders and a 15% restocking fee for oversize, International orders, or special orders.
  • Exchanges: Restocking fees can be avoided by mutual agreement on an exchange. After receipt of the returned merchandise, any necessary adjustments will be made to original payment and the exchanged merchandise will be shipped out.  In this case, there will be no restocking fee, however, return shipping will be at your expense.
Refunds
Refunds will be issued in the following manner:
 If a refund is generated based on your mistake, the refund will be issued to the original credit card or PayPal account used to place the order minus any applicable shipping or restocking fees (as listed above) If a refund is generated based on our mistake, the refund will be issued to the original credit card or PayPal account used to place the order.   We will include any incurred shipping costs in your refund. Please be aware that it can take up to one month for credit card refunds to appear on your statement and up to one week for PayPal refunds to appear on your account.

Price Matching
If there is a nationally advertised price from an authorized dealer on an in stock item that you want from our website, we will match this price. Note that we are not always able to match prices on our competitors' close-outs and sale items. Simply give us the Price Match information in the Notes section when you are checking out. Please include the item, the price and where you saw the price, including URL if it is a Web site, or the edition of Magazine or Catalog. The price match must be from a US dealer of new-in-box merchandise. Auction site (such as eBay) merchandise cannot be verified and therefore will not be considered for price matches. Price Matches cannot be combined with other coupons or specials. We will always give you the lower of the two prices, our coupon or the price match, but not both. Each price is subject to verification. Price Matching may delay processing and shipment of your order.

Product Images
Please note that due to changes between manufacturer’s production runs, the images shown on our website may not match the products exactly.  We are not responsible for minor differences in the product images and the actual item. These items are not eligible for postage-paid returns.
